Research, conservation and photography: a mutual benefit
My whole life I have been involved in conservation and enjoyed our beautiful natural heritage. Now I feel that I need to give something back- this is my contribution back to what gives me so much pleasure in life. I will contribute images sized at 800 pixels on the long edge and at a resolution of 72 dpi for no charge at all.
The conditions are:
- This service is offered to all bone-fide conservation and research projects, full time scholars
and lecturers in education.
- Each image will have a small copyright logo on the bottom right. See an example here.
This logo must be visible in all presentations and online work.
- Images may not be cropped to exclude the copyright
- Each image used online must be credited with the link: www.shemimages.com
You can search for images on our photo gallery here.
Hopefully this becomes a way of showing the world that photos are more just photographs, but help in education, awareness, conservation and research.
Marketing and publication:
- If you would like to use an image on the site, please contact me with the
reference number of the image.
- If you are looking for a specific image or an image within a specific genre (below) that
I have listed, use the search facility to find your image. You can use the lightbox
facility to make a selection of images.
- Send me an e-mail via the lightbox and I will forward you sample images together with
a price list.
- If you can't find the image you require on the search gallery, please contact me via e-mail
with your request.
- Images can be sent via e-mail (up to 20mb), via ftp upload (200mb), CD or USB memory stick
by courier.
Fine prints:
Fine prints of certain images are available on request. Prints are available on various mediums such as satin semi-gloss, Hahnemulah, canvas and rives tradition.
Please contact me and I will forward you a full price list with sizes and finishes.

Wildlife-
An excellent and varied portfolio of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascan Wildlife images. This is my main speciality and what I concentrate most of my photography on. I have an excellent selection mammals, birds, reptiles, insects, spiders, butterflies, landscapes, flora and travel images.
Rural Africa-
Rural scenes, cultural attire, community life, community development, religion, initiation, traditional housing, RDP housing, education, signs and entrepreneurs.
Travel-
Travel throughout South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Madagascar.
France – Beach, and village scenes
Switzerland – travel, mountains, snow, frost and aerial images
Scotland – outdoor and travel
Sport-
Cycling and winter sports – Cresta Run, bobsled, Skeleton, horse racing on ice, snowboarding and skiing
